This project located in Kōloa, Kauaʻi is a 8,700sf residential home designed to be constructed with an innovative material called cross laminated timber (CLT). Working closely and collaboratively with the owner the vision was to design a home that would allow fluidity of movement from one space to another encouraging an outdoor into indoor type of living.
The Kokeʻe, Kauiʻa State Park ADU was a Collaboration effort with The AlbiziaProject, LLC, Hawaii Wood Innovations office and our team. The Design prototype of the ADU utilizes local material, prefabrication, and innovation. As part of the Design process a “wahi process” was formulated that focuses on the place we live and work influencing the design, building systems, material choice, and form.
The Nukupuu residence is a design of a new home to replace an existing structure. The project vision was to design a contemporary tropical home with an inviting entry and a spacious interior living area that invites natural light into the interior spaces through high ceilings and strategic floor layout.
Located in Aiea, Oahu the project goal for the Kahapili residence was to renovate the existing residence built in 1972. The proposed improvement was to incorporate an added 2,400sf living space that included a portico with a deck, a partially raised roof, a new living room, master bedroom and an attached accessory dwelling suite below.
This Project is an addition to an existing home in the city of Kapolei on Oahu. The proposed addition is approximately 600sf.
