THE FIRM
Atelier 5 Design is a multi-disciplinary architectural firm with experience in architecture and interior design. Founded in 2019, A5 approach design as a process that identifies essential values, functions, and goals to help tell the story behind the vision of each project. We believe in creating lasting architecture that explores the full potential of form, space, time, and experience and incorporating environmentally sensitive and ethically responsible design through materiality and locality. We are passionate about design and are committed to achieving design excellence.
THE PROCESS
The design solutions are a product of generative, supportive, and rigorous process that welcomes adaptability. Atelier 5 works collaboratively with our clients along with engaging our trusted network of collaborators at each project through a continuous dialogue, which collectively reinforces the design process in identifying the challenges and the strategic solutions.
THE ETHOS
Atelier 5 is composed of local designers who understand the value of design towards the built environment, and the impact that this has on the larger nature. Being local we believe and embrace the idea of “Mālama I ka ‘Aina” which translates to take care of the land. This concept is translated into our practice which shapes our vision and ultimately our design.
